Lianne has a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, a Masters in Hypnotherapy and is on the UK
National Regulatory Register for Hypnotherapy. She is also a full member of
the British Institute of Hypnotherapy. All members abide by a strict code of conduct
relating to client confidentiality, insurance, terms, conditions and methods of
treatment. All members are required to ensure continued professional development
and to undertake peer supervision.
Lianne works in all areas of hypnotherapy and specialises in Past Life Regression.
Her practice is located in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, just 2 miles from Cheshire
Oaks Outlet Village, Junction 10 of the M53.
In the UK, there is no single hypnotherapy organisation that hypnotherapists must
be registered with. In fact, anyone can call themselves a hypnotherapist and set
up in private practice.
Check that your therapist has a formal qualification in hypnotherapy and is registered
with at least one reputable hypnotherapy organisation that operates a strict, written
code of conduct that you can see upon request.
Don’t be afraid to ask some questions before you commit yourself. Any genuine therapist
will be helpful and supportive and will not try to push you into making an appointment
for treatment. They will not mind answering questions. You need to know what the
treatment will cost before deciding. If they offer you a free session during which
they will explain the costs, forget it. They can easily do that over the phone.
Finally, beware of the therapist who wants you to book 10 or 15 sessions before
they have seen you. Many problems can be resolved in one to six sessions.
As of 2007, UK hypnotherapy now has a unitary national register, which can be used
as a resource by both members of the public and the NHS. The complete list of practitioners,
including Lianne, can be seen on the National Register website. Please note, this
is still a voluntary regulatory body, however, all its members are registered with
at least one of more than 20 professional organisations that are working together
to progress self regulation and agreed standards in hypnotherapy.
